Rolfing® Structural Integration, developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf in the early 1970s, is a type of transformative hands on bodywork that mobilizes connective tissue (also called fascia) in the human body. Since individual nerve fibers are organized and held together by the fascia, Rolfing® SI also works directly with the nervous system to influence a person’s sense of perception within their structure and in relation to the world around them. The ultimate goal of Rolfing® SI is to work with people in a way that allows them find more ease and greater functionality within their body as it relates to the natural forces of gravity. Please visit The Rolf Institute® for more information. Amanda offers Rolfing® SI sessions at Inform Rolfing in Minneapolis.
"This is the gospel of Rolfing: When the body gets working appropriately, the force of gravity can flow through. Then, spontaneously, the body heals itself." ~ Ida P. Rolf, Ph.D.

"Rolfing does not "cure" symptoms. The goal of Rolfing is a more resilient, higher-energy system. The organism then is better able to defend against illness and overcome stress, and the greater energy does its own beneficial work in healing and relaxing. Rolfing does not achieve perfection; it begins a process. Its goal is to establish balance in gravity. The ten-hour cycle is a first step in that direction. Rolfing is an ongoing process that continues long after the work has been completed. Bodies have a natural liking for uprightness, comfort, and ease. Insofar as they can experience it, they try to live in a place of balance. In this place, the energy of gravity can flow with (not counter to) the energy of the individual."

Rolfing® SI ten-series
Developed by Ida Rolf, the ten series is a 'recipe' of ten separate sessions that are designed to strategically realign your structure in a way that creates longterm, overall ease in your body. The ten-series involves active participation from the client, as we will be working together to find ways to access the natural vitality that exists within your body. Read more about it here.
Post Rolfing® ten-series
For clients who have gone through the ten series, I offer 3-5 sessions to help integrate the body even further. You can also schedule single session tune- ups to address any concerns/issues that have come up since ten-series.
Rolfing® SI single sessions
Curious about Rolfing but don't want to commit to the ten-series? I take requests to work on specific areas of tension, discomfort, and pain. I can work with you to soften, relax, and release various parts of the body (neck, shoulders, feet, legs, arms, back, jaw, etc).
